About

OACUPPA (Oklahoma branch of the Association of Physical Plant Administrators) exists solely as a volunteer-run non-profit organization to promote, develop, and maintain high standards and professional ideals in the care, operation, planning, and development of Oklahoma’s educational facilities.  We do this by hosting meetings for all educational facilities professionals to attend, network, and learn from each other and industry professionals (and have some fun).  All educational institutions are invited to become members and participate: K-12 Districts, Technology Centers, and Higher Education Institutions.

Your Board

OACUPPA is driven by the passion of our volunteer Board of Directors. These individuals understand the unique challenges of managing facilities in Oklahoma and are dedicated to supporting the incredible work happening in our schools and universities. By fostering a culture of mentorship and shared knowledge, our board ensures that every member has a seat at the table and a network they can rely on.

Our Board of Directors: (Left to Right): Tawn Neidy (BMS CAT), Larin Davis (Ponca City Public Schools), Rob Lamecker (Stillwater Public Schools), and Casey Romero (Oklahoma State University). Special thanks to Tammy Johnson (Oklahoma State University), who is not pictured but remains a vital part of our leadership.

Our Philosophy

At OACUPPA, we believe that the excellence of our educational institutions is built on a foundation of strategic stewardship and collaborative innovation.

In partnership with APPA, our philosophy centers on the idea that facilities and administration are not just overhead, but essential drivers of the student experience. We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, where shared knowledge and sustainable practices empower our members to transform campus environments into thriving hubs of academic success.

Services

At the heart of OACUPPA is a vibrant calendar of events designed to move the needle on campus management through the power of human connection. We believe that Oklahoma’s most complex facilities challenges, from managing deferred maintenance backlogs to navigating our unique regional weather extremes, are best solved through collective intelligence. Our events serve as a neutral ground where directors, managers, and emerging leaders from across the state can exchange “boots-on-the-ground” insights, tour innovative Sooner-state facilities, and build the professional relationships that sustain a career. Whether it is a deep-dive technical workshop or our hallmark annual state conference, our goal is to ensure that no facilities professional in Oklahoma has to solve a problem in isolation.
